PRIVACY NOTICE

1. SCOPE

This Privacy Notice explains how BEEFCAKE handles information through the website, Beef Beacon, dashboard, Beeflet, leaderboards, notifications, event tools, and related features. Separate Google Forms, facilities, calendars, or linked services may have their own notices.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Google identity

When you sign in, Google provides a stable account identifier, your verified email address, and basic profile name needed to create and secure your account. Google may make a profile image available during authentication, but BEEFCAKE does not need to store it. We never receive your Google password.

Account and agreement records

We store your chosen display name, notification preferences, leaderboard visibility, account creation/update times, and the policy version and timestamp you accepted.

Beacon and session information

We store session type, general location, optional custom location, optional room number, optional workout type or study subject, group or solo status, start/end times, host, attendees, Beef Bumps, joins, leaves, and credited minutes as needed to provide the feature.

Beeflet and game information

We store Beeflet name, generation, mood-related activity dates, BEEF Bits, companions, unlocked scenes, achievements, and interactions.

Notifications and forms

If enabled, we store device push-subscription tokens or an email preference and address. Event or membership forms may separately collect the fields shown on those forms, such as name, email, RSVP, and required waiver acknowledgement.

Technical and aggregate information

We may process limited security, reliability, and engagement information such as request timing, rate-limit identifiers, feature use counts, error information, browser/device category, and notification delivery results. We aim to avoid precise location, advertising profiles, and unnecessary tracking.

No payment data

BEEFCAKE and the Service are always free. We do not request or store payment-card, bank-account, or billing information. A separate facility, venue, transportation provider, or event may process a clearly disclosed third-party cost under its own policies, but never as payment for this Service.

3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use information to authenticate accounts; display and coordinate sessions; credit participants; operate leaderboards and Beeflets; send requested notifications; provide event tools; prevent abuse and fraud; troubleshoot and secure the Service; understand aggregate use; enforce policies; respond to requests; and comply with law.

4. WHAT OTHER USERS CAN SEE

For a public Beacon, anyone viewing the Service may see the display name you chose, general location, activity/workout type, start time, remaining time, and group/solo status. Room numbers, custom notes, study subjects, and attendee names are limited to the host and users who joined where indicated. Private sessions are not shown publicly. Leaderboard names appear only when leaderboard visibility is enabled. Beeflet and account panels are private to the signed-in user.

5. WHEN INFORMATION IS SHARED

We share information only as needed with service providers that operate hosting, databases, Google authentication, forms, email, push notifications, analytics, or other requested features; with other users according to the visibility described above; when you direct us to share it; to protect safety, rights, and service integrity; or when lawfully required. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. RETENTION

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed. Active and planned sessions remain until completed, cancelled, or expired. Ended session details are generally removed quickly after crediting, while weekly totals and limited engagement records may remain for up to about 90 days. Beeflet Signals generally expire after 7 days. Stale push subscriptions may be removed after about 180 days. Account, Beeflet, and preference information remains while the account exists. Form responses may remain until club records are cleaned up. Backups and security records may persist briefly beyond these periods.

7. YOUR CHOICES

You can choose a public display name; select public, group, solo, or private session modes; control leaderboard visibility; enable or disable email and push notifications; avoid optional precise details; leave sessions; and delete your account. Device and browser settings may also control notifications and storage.

8. ACCESS, CORRECTION, AND DELETION

You may update available account and session controls in the Service or delete your Beacon account using the account deletion control. For other access, correction, deletion, or privacy requests, contact the club contact below. We may need to verify the request and may retain limited information where required for security, legal obligations, or de-identification.

9. SECURITY

We use safeguards including secure Google authentication, server-side authorization, scoped database operations, secure cookies, input limits, rate limits, and restricted secrets. No online system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Do not post information that could create a safety risk.

10. CHILDREN

The authenticated Service is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it as appropriate.

11. INTERNATIONAL USE

The Service is operated from the United States. If you use it elsewhere, information may be processed in the United States, subject to applicable law.

12. COOKIES, GLOBAL PRIVACY CONTROL, AND DO NOT TRACK

We use a secure session cookie and local device storage needed for sign-in, preferences, installation state, and feature operation. Because we do not sell personal information or use targeted advertising, Global Privacy Control and browser “Do Not Track” signals generally do not change those essential operations.

13. CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE

We may update this notice as the Service changes. Material changes will receive a new policy version and may trigger a new one-time acknowledgement. Minor clarifications may be posted without recurring prompts.
